AARP Officially Launched in Warsaw with Community Inauguration Event

Warsaw, 22 March 2026 — The Association of Afghans Residing in Poland (AARP) successfully held its official inauguration ceremony in Warsaw, marking a significant milestone for the Afghan community in Poland.

The event brought together community members, elders, professionals, and invited guests in an atmosphere of unity, respect, and cultural pride. The inauguration symbolized the formal establishment of AARP as a legal, non-profit, and apolitical organization operating under Polish law.

The program began with a recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the Afghan National Anthem. In his opening remarks, Chairperson Mr. Ahmad Fawad emphasized the importance of unity, shared identity, and collective responsibility in building a strong and inclusive Afghan community in Poland.

Distinguished speakers highlighted the role of cooperation, social responsibility, and active participation in strengthening the community and supporting integration into Polish society. The event also featured a presentation outlining the Association’s mission, vision, and objectives, including promoting education, cultural preservation, and support for youth, women, and vulnerable groups.

Traditional cultural elements, including a Turban Ceremony and the presentation of the Holy Quran, underscored the importance of heritage, leadership, and shared values.

The inauguration concluded with closing remarks and a prayer for peace and prosperity for Afghanistan and its diaspora.

This event marks the beginning of a new chapter for Afghans in Poland, with AARP committed to fostering unity, community development, and constructive engagement with Polish institutions and society.
